Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the EMOD platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Enrollment & Access

Enrolling in a course grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the course content for the duration of your account. Free courses are available at no charge. Paid courses require a one-time payment before access is granted.

4. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes where required. Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days of purchase by contacting info@saufex.eu, subject to EU consumer protection regulations.

5. Intellectual Property

• EMOD core content (modules, glossary, handbook) is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
• EMOD+ instructor content (courses created by third-party instructors) remains the intellectual property of the respective instructor or organisation. Enrollees receive a licence to access the content for personal learning purposes only.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Share, redistribute, or resell course content
• Use automated tools to scrape or download content
• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or payment requirements
• Upload malicious content or interfere with platform operation

7. Limitation of Liability

The EMOD platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAUFEX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Member State in which the data controller is established. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of that Member State, without prejudice to your rights under EU consumer protection law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
